Firmware/Hardware Design Engineer

In this position you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of firmware and hardware to meet customer defined specifications.  The position provides the engineer with full exposure to the complete project life-cycleincluding hardware and firmware design, requirements definition, schematiccapture,  programming, verification, and product support.  Applicants should have excellent problem solving skills and be a quick learner capable of tackling new or complex tasks quickly and productively.  BSEE with 5+ years  related experience. Strong working knowledge of firmware design, hardware design, programming and microprocessor/microcontroller architectures. Candidate should be experienced in assembler and “C” programming including the use of various compilers and emulators.  Must be familiar with embedded and real time software development techniques – DSP and telephony experience a plus.  RF experience a plus.
